Fibre and Ethernet Connectivity P2 or XDCam footage can be brought from file-based acquisition and entered into the system via alptop with card reader. This footage is then available for the fibre channel clients to pick up, manipulate and re-save back to the same Multi-user Write volume. Connectivity over 1Gbit Ethernet and 8Gbit fibre channel is standard feature on every TerraBlock sold with the Facilis Shared File System enabled. |

Sharing Attributes When collaboration and open-access is important, select Multi-user Write and connect over fibre channel or Ethernet. Every connected client with the proper permissions will have the ability to write to the selected volume, and video formats up to Uncompressed HD 8bit (fibre) or 220Mbit HD (Ethernet) and uncompressed SD are supported. In addition, any volume can be assigned Read Only permissions to avoid accidental writes or deletions. |

Editorial Project and Media Sharing As part of the Facilis Shared File System, TerraBlock delivers a unique File System Emulation mode which allows Multi-user Write volumes to be used with the Avid family of products on Mac and Windows. TerraBlock Virtual Volumes support the bin and project sharing features existing in every Avid Media Composer-based editorial product. Since Avid is database-driven for media management, targeting a volume that Avid recognizes as a multi-write enables the application to manage the media properly, avoiding database rebuilds to see newly captured media. |

A
Storage Network that Works Facilis has been deployed along with hundreds of editorial, 3D/2D graphics animation, color grading, encoding, archive and asset management products. Our test lab runs several of the most popular applications and hardware packages on the market, and our engineers are experienced in video and film editorial workflow. Facilis isn't just a storage company, we built TerraBlock from the ground up to compliment the TV and film production process as it transitions into emerging HD formats. "Shared Storage for Post Production" was our first tagline in 2004, and it still holds true. Shared storage is all we do, and we're focused on the needs of post production facilities. |
