Facilis Volume Mapper

Windows Volume Mapper After Launch

Since many applications are sensitive to drive letter paths, it can become difficult to maintain proper media paths when using a virtual volume system such as TerraBlock. The Volume Mapper does away with the need to constantly change drive letter paths to maintain proper links. This application will add a new directory called Volumes in the C: drive, and place a reparse point for all volumes in that directory. When you look at the C:\Volumes\<volume name> location, it's the same as looking at <volume name> in My Computer, but without the extra drive letter. Simply point your capture, import or scratch directory selector at the new Volumes\<volume name> location, and you can be sure the path will always be the same.

You must launch the Volume Mapper after mounting new volumes, or changing the access to a volume for your local station. The same path will be re-used for ReadOnly and Writable volumes. Facilis Plans to incorporate this feature into the TerraBlock Manager software in a coming release.

The Windows ROUpdater is available in the Support area, under Downloads. You'll need your support login and password to access the Downloads area.
